Privacy Policy

Please Note :  The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU. The GDPR aims primarily to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU. You can see how we are GDPR compliant by reading Section 12 below.

Recent changes to the law on how companies hold data are coming into force on the 25th of May 2018 and companies (including Us!) are having to be more transparent, more consensual and a whole lot less SPAM orientated.

Whilst We have never been a SPAM style company, We also have to make it clear exactly what we do with your data.

GDPR - Personal Data.

Due to the nature of The Session Station, some personal data is held to create the Account of the user. The term "personal data" seems a lot more in depth than it really is but in order to create an basic Account with Us, you must have a valid log in e-mail, a first name and a last name.

That is it.

If you're a lister on The Session Station, We may hold a little more data on you but all data is public access and is used for the public to make contact with the lister. The nature of our directory style site requires the information so the public that use Our Site can find out where they are, how to get in contact and what qualifications they may hold.

The information held by Our Site is dependent on the amount of information supplied and can include :

Name

Address

Contact Details (phone, e-mail, social media usernames)

Qualifications

Uploaded images

Opening times

The data we hold is information supplied to Us, by you, on the creation of your Account. If you feel you would like less self submitted information being held on you, Account deactivation is available in the top right corner after you have logged in.

The personal data We hold is not used for any typical style of marketing. The nature of Our Site requires users to log in through their own e-mail and password or through one of your social media log ins.

The data that is held from this entry style system is used for log in purposes to Our Site and nothing more. It is possible to use Our Site without any personal log in data being used but for the full service as intended, a log in will have to be created.

All the personal data that We hold on you is available on request and at no cost so get in contact at enquiries@sessionstation.com and We will be more than happy to assist.

GDPR : Things We don't do.

Hold "Sensitive Personal Data"

Receive any detailed bank details - Sort codes, account numbers and card numbers aren't used by Our Site so We never receive them.

Mine or hack personal information. All information We have is consensual and has been received by the user themselves.

Sell, trade or give away any contact details to anyone outside of The Session Station team. Any Analytical data is anonymous when third parties get to see it and that anonymous data is only used for statistical and projection information.

Keep data longer than is necessary. We hold your data as long as you want to be a member of our community. As soon as you delete your account, details can not be re-instated and the user will have to start again should they want to be a part of Our Site again.
